Tops are the entry point and the thing we restock most. The Vale V-neck rib tank comes in black, chocolate and white. The Salute relaxed sleeveless knit tank runs across five colourways and has its own edit in our $99 knit tank collection. For something with more detail, the Expedition shirred neck in burgundy or blush, the Beloved poplin stretch back in black, and the Lace short- and long-sleeve tops in black all do the job a plain Among The Brave top cannot. The Expedition is the one to size down in if you prefer a shirred neck to sit close rather than blouse out.

Add the Graduate and Varsity Jeans

Denim is where this label has become hard to beat on fit. The Among The Brave Graduate stretch barrel jeans come in black, dark blue and light blue, and they are the pairs we sell more of than anything else in our jeans collection. The soft stretch denim is what makes a barrel leg wearable all day rather than just photogenic.

The Among The Brave Varsity barrel jeans are the firmer, higher-waisted take on the same shape, available in ivory and chocolate. The Emerge turn-up long jean in washed-out blue is the straighter option if a barrel is not for you.

A barrel leg is cropped and tapers at the ankle, so it sits better with a flat shoe than a heel. If you want the fuller shape rather than the neater one, go up a size.

The Among The Brave dresses we carry in NZ are the Adelaide linen puff sleeve mini in blue and the Accolade tie detail midi in black and white gingham, both easy enough for a Saturday and considered enough for an event. For layering, the Diploma linen blazer in soft pink is the dressier choice, and the Absolute soft-collared quilted Among The Brave jacket in chocolate is the one that gets worn all winter.
